It's important for the young whipper-snappers to understand that computer games weren't always hi-res colour and surround sound. In my day, we didn't have any of that, but we got by.

And get the hell off my lawn!

I so have to send that on to one of my lecturers.

Maybe with a note to let him know that, as much as I know he loves it, demonstrating truly archaic computer game consoles as part of a lecture does not hold enough attraction as a spectator sport to take up more than, say, fifteen minutes of each class time. (Oh the pain.)

What's all this Pac-s**t!!??????

In the wilds of Tassie, it all began with Space Invaders, a two-dimensional, twenty-cent, lateral-movement, kill 'em'all before they touch down scenario (never mind that bloody tennis/ping pong wannabe where the raquet/bat moved along a pre-ordained path....TV-based)

Today, there are magnificent simulators to mimic *any* manoeuvre that a supersonic fighter aircraft can accomplish--including the "Max. Barf Factor" moves...so cool, so "I need to change my flight-suit, *NOW*!"

The "hell of your lawn"? Scary grasses? Demonic chamomiles? Do tell!

I miss my Intelivision. Best thumb exercise ever invented.

I still want you to write me a version of Siege! Such a wonderful game.
Throwing rocks at people climbing up the wall! The only way it could be improved would be to make then students trying to get out of school (I'd say get into the class room but when do they ever want to do that?) and you throw books at them. But anyway.
